Luciana Maria Rabello Pinheiro, born in 1961 in Petrópolis, Brazil, is a Brazilian cavaquinho player and composer. She began learning the guitar at age six from her grandfather and studied the piano for five years, writing her first compositions at age 13. In 1975, she co-founded the choro ensemble Os Carioquinhas with her brother, Raphael Rabello, adopting the cavaquinho as her main instrument. She later joined the ensemble Camerata Carioca under the mentorship of Radamés Gnattali, collaborating in concerts and studio recordings with artists such as Elizeth Cardoso, Paulinho da Viola, Baden Powell, and Toquinho. After touring Europe in 1981 and 1982, she married musician Paulo César Pinheiro in 1985. In 2005, she appeared in the choro documentary Brasileirinho. Her discography includes the albums Os Carioquinhas no choro (1977), Tributo a Jacob do Bandolim (1979), Luciana Rabello (2000), and Choro carioca - Música do Brasil (2007). Her work includes performing and teaching the cavaquinho in Brazil.
