Nu‑Nation, a Russian metal group formed in Saint Petersburg in 2009, emerged from local musicians seeking groove‑metal sounds reminiscent of Soulfly and Ektomorf. The band released their full-length album Wake Up in 2012, gaining traction among nu‑metal and groove‑metal fans. Line‑up and stylistic shifts followed, culminating in the 2014 release of The Awakening, which introduced a darker, more extreme tone. In early 2016, the group issued its final album, Insomnia, blending brutality with melody and drawing favorable reviews. In 2017, Daria Platova replaced Artur, after which the band adopted the name Fallcie and announced the single “Rock'n'Rolla” alongside a major European tour.
