The SKA FLAMES are one of Japan's leading ska bands, having formed their predecessor band, the Blue Flames, in 1984 and started performing under their current name in 1985. In 1989, the band made its world debut with the backing of Gaz Mayall in the U.K. The SKA FLAMES have also played at clubs in other countries, such as the Skatalites and Prince Buster's. The band has been playing ska since before the club scene took root in Japan, and is known as the first real ska band in Japan. The band has performed with legendary musicians such as the Skatalites, Prince Buster, Jackie Mittoo, Rico, and Laurel Aitkin, and has earned a reputation as a "direct descendant" of the band. The band's attitude of not pandering to trends and sticking to their own style is still highly supported today. The band consists of Hirokazu Ise (vocals), Michihisa Ishikawa (alto saxophone), Kazuo Yamada (tenor saxophone), Naoki Tanaka (trumpet), Kei Mizorogi (trombone), Akihito Nakasu (percussion), Toru Shiigaki (guitar), Kenji Miyazaki (guitar), Katsura Miyanaga (bass). was released the vinyl single "I WON'T NEVER LET YOU GO / GOOD MORNING".
