Akalotz is a German electronic body music and electro group formed in Kaiserslautern in 2007 by Thorsten Haury and Alex. The duo emerged from the underground scene with a fusion of hard beats and melodic dark-electro elements. Their debut album, Shift to Evil (2014), appeared through Electro Arc and was praised as an old-school EBM statement. In 2017, the group followed with Confront on Electro Aggression Records, which featured 16 new tracks and five remixes. After a hiatus, their album Angry Body Machine (2024) appeared on Scanner, preceded by the single “Savage” (2024) and accompanied by performances at the Darkest Night Festival in Belgium.
