King Dalton is a Belgian rock band featuring members from Aalst, Antwerp, and Ghent. The ensemble consists of Pieter de Meester, Jonas de Meester, Jorunn Bauweraerts, Tomas de Smet, and Frederick Heuvinck. Its members previously performed with groups such as Laïs, Zita Swoon, A Brand, Think of One, and Aedo. The group’s sound is heavily influenced by American Delta blues, folk, and the music of North Africa. In 2013, the band released their self-titled debut, King Dalton, through Waste My Records, which reached number 141 on the Belgian (FL) charts. Following a 2014 appearance at the Pukkelpop festival, they released their second album, Thilda, on August 31, 2015. This release received airplay on Radio 1 Belgium and peaked at number 42. Their third album, The Third, followed in 2018 and reached number 181. The band is noted for creating a trance-like fusion of blues and folk.
