With diverse musical influences and a sound that ranges between Metal/Hardcore genres, Sea of Monsters is a band from pessoense (João Pessoa - PB) that proposes in its songs to address issues of an existential nature, current dilemmas and all the complexity surrounding of life in its multiple facets.
With this, through its guitars and double bass in low tuning, drums in connection giving a singular line, with reflective and direct lyrics (creating this link between simple and complex) and shouted vocals, Sea of Monsters is actually the combination of experiences, literature, personal and musical experiences of its members reflected in songs.
The band reverberates in its musicality an ideal that seeks to combat the social inequalities of our “liquid modernity”, believing that it is possible to conceive a fair society with opportunities for all.
Sea of Monsters began its journey in 2015 and today celebrates its almost ten (10) years as a band. His discography includes three studio albums (Párelios, A Teoria das Cordas, Profundezas e Perseveranças) and one live album (A Espera da Cura), totaling six (6) singles released - Eterno Retorno, Sete Selos, O.I.P.M, Limites dos Céus, O Pêndulo and Ponto Cego.
Currently, the band is dedicated to performing shows in celebration of its ten years as a band with the #oretorno tour and is working towards the release of a new album between 2024 and 2025 with its new lineup.
