ChuLa, a Japanese idol girl group originating in Tokyo, Japan, was established on May 7 2017 under the management of SCOT and later joined the HEROINES label in 2024. The original lineup of five members-Sakura Ayane, Fujii Eika, Sakuragi Mina, Natsume Misaki, and Kitayama Himeka-debuted with the live event Let’s Start Upper Live in Shibuya. Their first major single, "Kanzenmutekiaiueo", was released on May 26 2020 through Rock Field and Nippon Columbia, marking the group’s entry into nationwide media and a subsequent national “Quatro Tour.” In 2023, ChuLa expanded its repertoire with the EP "Singalong World" (February 15 2023) and the EP "DA・DA・DA・Daisuki!! ‑SPECIAL EDITION‑" (August 30 2023), both showcasing the group’s high‑tempo J‑pop aesthetic. The group’s trajectory culminated in the studio album "Jurisen☆chuLamusou", slated for release on February 27 2026, which is expected to solidify ChuLa’s presence in the idol scene. Throughout its career, ChuLa has maintained a rotating membership, with several graduations and new additions, while consistently performing in live venues across Japan, including the Shibuya DESEO mini, Shibuya Studio Freedom, and the Nippon Budokan.
