Tamás Cseh, born on January 22, 1943, in Budapest, Hungary, was a Hungarian singer-songwriter. He received his first guitar as a high school graduation gift from his grandparents in Budapest, where he formed his initial band. His professional music career began in 1970 when he met lyricist Géza Bereményi, and his first public performance occurred in 1972. Throughout his career, he released numerous albums, including Levél Nővéremnek (1977), Antoine és Désiré (1978), and Fehér babák takarodója (1979). His musical work often reflected the social realities of Hungary during that period. He received several music awards, including the Franz Liszt Prize in 1993, the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 1992, and the Kossuth Prize in 2001. He passed away on August 7, 2009.
