Knud Torben Grabow Christensen, known professionally as Sebastian, was born on December 19, 1949, in Denmark. He began his music career by playing guitar and writing songs from 1966 onwards. Sebastian's breakthrough came with the release of his first Danish-language LP, Den store flugt, in 1972. This album was praised for its Donovan-like Dylan style and sold extensively, estimated between 100,000 to 170,000 copies. Notable songs include "Når lyset bryder frem" and "Romeo" from the album Stjerne til støv. Sebastian's voice began weakening in the late 1980s due to health issues. Despite this, he continued writing musicals and songs for other artists. His album Ronja Røverdatter (1991) won a Danish Grammy Award for Best Children's Release of the year in 1992.
