40 Watt Sun is a British rock band founded in 2009 by Patrick Walker after his previous band, Warning, disbanded. Initially a three-piece with Christian Leitch and William Spong, it became Patrick Walker's solo project with revolving musicians. Their debut album, The Inside Room, was released in 2011 and named the fourth best metal album of that year by Pitchfork. The band's second album, Wider than the Sky, was self-produced and released in October 2016. In January 2022, they released their third album, Perfect Light, which was included in Pitchfork's "The 38 Best Rock Albums of 2022." Their latest album, Little Weight, was released in 2024.
