Progres 2, a rock band from Brno, Czechoslovakia, playing since 1968. The band's breakthrough came with their EP Dialog s Vesmírem (1980), a rock opera project that marked the first audiovisual program of rock music in Czechoslovakia. This album included notable songs like "Planeta Hieronyma Bosche". Throughout their career, Progres 2 released several influential albums, including Třetí Kniha Džunglí = Third Jungle Book (1982), Mozek (1984), and Změna (1988). The band underwent various lineup changes over the years. In 1987, Pavel Pelc left to form Progres-Pokrok with other members. Progres 2 continued their musical journey with albums like Progres Story (2008), which celebrated their 40-year anniversary. The band was inducted into the Beat Hall of Fame in 2016. During the summer of 2018, the band recorded the studio album Tulák po hvězdách at David Koller's studio in Mikulov, and it was released in the same year during the band's annual concerts. Throughout 2023, the band held a 55th anniversary tour to celebrate its 55th year.
