Black Tie Dynasty, an American indie rock band from Fort Worth, Texas, signed with Idol Records in 2004, and released their debut EP This Stays Between Us in 2005. Their first full-length album, Movements, followed in 2006 and featured the single "Tender", which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. The band toured with notable acts such as Guided By Voices, VHS or Beta, and Spoon. In 2008, they released their follow-up album Down Like Anyone independently. Despite announcing a breakup in January 2009 via MySpace, the band did not push through with the disbandment and released their third album, Steady, in 2024.
