Low Cut Connie is an American rock and roll band hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Led by frontman, pianist, and songwriter Adam Weiner, the band has established itself as a force in the music scene. Since its inception in 2010, Low Cut Connie has evolved into a platform for Weiner's songwriting and his captivating stage presence. Weiner, along with former band members Dan Finnemore and Neil Duncan, embarked on their musical journey with an impromptu recording session. The result was their debut album, Get Out the Lotion, which was independently recorded and released in 2011. Surprisingly, the album garnered significant critical attention, setting the stage for Low Cut Connie's rise to fame. Their second album, Call Me Sylvia, released in 2012, further solidified their presence with critics praising Weiner's piano skills on the album, comparing them to the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis with Rolling Stone Magazine including the album on its list of the 100 Best Albums of the 2010s. In 2015, the band announced the completion of their third album, Hi Honey, featuring contributions from new members James Everhart and Will Donnelly. Low Cut Connie continued to make waves with their two-part album, Dirty Pictures. Part 1 was released in 2017 and drew comparisons to iconic acts like The Rolling Stones, New York Dolls, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Paul Westerberg. Part 2 followed shortly after, with the lead single "Beverly" being recognized as one of the 50 Best Songs of 2018 by Billboard. In 2020, the band released their double-length album, Private Lives, which ranked number 34 among Rolling Stone's Best Albums of 2020. Receiving support from notable figures such as Barack Obama, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, and Howard Stern, the band has also made appearances on television shows including Late Night with Seth Meyers, showcasing their infectious musical stylings. In 2023, Low Cut Connie continued to make an indelible mark on the music industry. releasing the single "Are You Gonna Run," in April which achieved success on the Top 40 Radio charts, coming in at number 34, which the band followed quickly with “SLEAZE ME ON” in in June. Both singles appeared on ART DEALERS, released in September 2023 through Contender Records. Low Cut Connie carried the project into 2024 with Art Dealers, a hybrid documentary and concert film co-directed by Adam Weiner and Roy Power, which followed the band during a three-night New York run and received a limited theatrical release before arriving on VOD in October. The band also issued its first live album, CONNIE LIVE, in November 2024. In 2025, Weiner pushed the group into more openly topical material with “Livin in the USA (Acoustic)” and the protest single “Settle Down,” while also announcing new tour dates. By 2026, Low Cut Connie had prepared the album Livin in the USA, released on July 3 through Contender Records and Many Hats Distribution, and previewed by “Livin in the USA,” “Little Freakers,” “Oh Yeah,” and “Can’t Be Wrong.”
