Ace Spectrum were an American R&B and soul ensemble from New York City established in 1966. The group consisted of the musicians Lawrence Coley, Frederick G. Duff, Rudy Gay Sr., Elliot Isaac, Aubrey Johnson, and Henry Zant. They achieved professional recognition for the track “Don't Send Nobody Else” (1974), which was written by the musicians Ashford & Simpson and reached number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 20 on the R&B Singles chart. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Inner Spectrum (1974), which reached number 28 on the R&B Albums chart. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Low Rent Rendezvous (1975), which reached number 138 in the United States and number 35 on the R&B Albums chart. Their discography included the track “Keep Holding On” (1975) and the track “Live and Learn” (1976), which reached number 35 on the Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart. They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Just Like in the Movies (1976), which was produced by the musician Patrick Adams. The group became inactive in 1976.
