De La Tierra, a Latin American heavy metal supergroup, was formed in late 2012. The band consisted of Brazilian guitarist Andreas Kisser, Argentine singer and guitarist Andrés Giménez, Argentine bassist Sr. Flavio, and American-born Cuban-Colombian drummer Alex González. The group's origins can be traced back to discussions between Andrés Giménez and Alex González around 2004, which eventually led to the formation of De La Tierra in 2012 with the addition of Andreas Kisser on lead guitar. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014 through Roadrunner Records, preceded by the single "Maldita Historia" (2014). In 2016, De La Tierra released their second album, II. Sr. Flavio left the band in 2017 and was replaced by Puerto Rican bassist Harold Hopkins. The group's third album, III, was released in 2023.
