Beastmilk was a Finnish post-punk band formed in Helsinki in 2010 by Mat McNerney, Johan Snell, Valtteri Arino, and Paile. The band's name originated from a dialogue about masculinity inspired by Aleister Crowley's White Stains. Beastmilk self-released their debut demo, White Stains on Black Tape (2010), which garnered positive reviews from notable musicians. Their first EP, Use Your Deluge (2012), was released under Svart Records. In November 2013, Beastmilk released their debut full-length album, Climax, recorded at GodCity Studio with Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou. Following the positive reception of Climax, tensions within the band led to the departure of Snell and Paile. In 2015, McNerney and Arino changed the band's name to Grave Pleasures, releasing Dreamcrash later that year. Grave Pleasures released the subsequent albums Motherblood (2017), Doomsday Roadburn (2019), and Plagueboys (2023).
