0% Fun (Worse) - featuring new songs, remixes, and demos - is OUT NOW!
Fairy Bones is the drama you’re missing in your life.
The Phoenix-based alt-pop/rock band is fronted by the ferocious Chelsey Louise, whose “unapologetic spirit” (NPR) drives the band’s high-energy, emotionally raw sound. Known for their sharp songwriting and chaotic charm, Fairy Bones blends angular pop-rock with the theatrical flair of musical theatre and the grit of '70s and '90s rock, pulling influence from bands like Pixies and Velvet Underground.
Fairy Bones’ sophomore album 0% Fun (2018) became a media darling, with Impose hailing it as “energetic and vibrant,” Java Magazine describing it as “unsettling, beautiful, and powerful all at once,” and PASTE applauding Louise’s “incomparable pipes,” remarking that “few rock voices today can compare, of any gender.” The record’s standout singles—No One Can Suffer Like I Can, 8 Ball, and Killing Me—became fan favorites and earned airplay on SiriusXM, NPR, ALT AZ 93.3, KWSS 93.9, and 98KUPD.
Producer Bob Hoag (The Format, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Ataris) has recorded Fairy Bones’ entire catalog, and he's one of their biggest champions. “My favorite thing about Fairy Bones is that as humans, they’re the weirdest little family,” he says. “They have an energy I’ve encountered in very few bands—and I think that seeps into the music.”
The quartet has achieved remarkable milestones throughout their career, sharing stages with acclaimed acts such as Highly Suspect (direct tour support), L7, Fuel, Rozwell Kid, Mother Mother, Alien Ant Farm, Doll Skin, and Marcy Playground.
In 2025, they released 0% Fun (Worse), an extended edition that includes additional songs, remixes, and demos, that racked up 100k streams collectively on Spotify. Louise splits her time between the band and managing indie bands under the moniker Poor Life Choice, where she has curated the success of artists such as Sydney Sprague, Taylor Sackson, and Dan E.T.
Fairy Bones will be releasing new music in 2025.
