A uniquely visceral and lyrical songwriter, singer and musician, Cole Stacey roams the highest echelons of British folk through to legendary 80s synth pop, from The Royal Albert Hall to The Westfalenhalle Arena, from 700-year-old castles in Gdansk to Glastonbury Festival.
With a decade-long association with Midge Ure and as nearly one half of alt-folk sensation India Electric Company, Cole has played sold-out tours of Australia, New Zealand, UK, Scandinavia and Germany in a plethora of styles and instruments including mandolin, bass guitar, synthesisers and vocals.
In early 2025, with explorations into traditional songwriting and verse in his blood, Cole shared his extraordinary debut album Postcards From Lost Places. Recorded in numerous regenerated and distinctive settings from a 13th Century former jail to a Victorian clay factory, this captivating record reached the UK album charts in its first week. With live performances on the likes of BBC Radio 5 Live, Times Radio, Folk on Foot and eye-catching concerts in a host of historic and unusual settings, for someone so well travelled, this next chapter is finally bringing Cole Stacey home.
