Fairy Empire was formed in 1997 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan as "Fairy Empire Daisan Guntai". They made their major label debut in March 2006 with the single "Ashita wo Forgive Me. The band's mainstay is symphonic rock/metal, combining classical, techno, and gothic elements with heavy metal as its foundation. Their representative works include the full-length albums "Gothic Lolita Propaganda" (2007), "Gothic Lolita Doctrine" (2009), "PAX VESANIA" (2013), "The Age of Villains" (2020), and the popular song "rebellion anthem" (2010), "Baptize" (2010), and "Fancy Mesologii" (2011). The band has received high acclaim for their anime tie-ups and festival appearances, and has established themselves as the pioneers of Japanese gothic metal.
