Ohad Talmor, born in 1970 in Lyon, France, is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, arranger, and educator. He grew up in Geneva, where he studied piano before taking up saxophone and later studying musicology. After moving to New York in 1995, he studied composition at the Manhattan School of Music and collaborated with artists including Joe Lovano, Joshua Redman, and Carla Bley. Talmor has led projects such as NewsReel, Mass Transformation, and the MOB Trio, and has arranged and composed works for jazz ensembles and orchestras. His recordings include Sound Stains (2001), Playing in Traffic (2009), and Silence for the Record (2020). He has also taught at the Conservatoire Populaire de Genève.
