Killer is a Belgian heavy metal band formed in 1980 by guitarist‑vocalist Paul “Shorty” Van Camp and drummer “Fat” Leo Felsenstein, later joined by bassist‑vocalist Ivo “Spooky” Van Doren. The trio quickly secured a contract with WEA and released their debut album, Ready for Hell, in 1981, a record that echoed the style of Motörhead and established their presence on the European metal circuit. In 1981, the lineup changed on drums, bringing in Robert “Double Bear” Cogen, and the band released Wall of Sound, which became their international breakthrough. They toured extensively and performed at several festivals in Europe, and performances with Anvil, Gary Moore, and Uriah Heep. With Mausoleum Records, they issued Shock Waves in 1984, gaining critical acclaim. After disbanding in 1987, they returned in 1990 with Fatal Attraction and later released Broken Silence (2003), Immortal (2005), and Monsters of Rock (2015).
