Sekret, a Soviet and Russian rock band, was founded in 1983 in Leningrad. The group's musical style and image were heavily influenced by 1950s and 1960s Western music, particularly the Beatles. Their name was inspired by the Beatles' song "Do You Want to Know a Secret?". Sekret released their album Бит-Квартет "Секрет" in 1987, followed by Ленинградское Время in 1989 and Оркестр В Пути in 1991. The original lineup remained intact until 1990, when frontman Maxim Leonidov emigrated to Israel. Despite lineup changes, the band continued releasing albums such as Blues De Moscou (1996), Пять (1997), and Всё Это И Есть Любовь (2014). In 2025, the band released the album SPB FM Stereo Vol. 2, which contains nine songs, including the track "Malibu". The album Big Beat 83 was released in 2026 and featured recordings of songs from the 1980s that had never been recorded in the studio.
