Khallice was a Brazilian progressive metal band founded in 1994 in Brasília. They initially started as a cover band playing songs by Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple. The group released two demos, with their second demo Prophecy gaining widespread attention in Brazil. In 1999, Alírio Netto joined as lead vocalist, and by late 2001, Khallice had a stable lineup including Marcelo Barbosa on guitars. Their debut album, The Journey, recorded from 2001 to 2002, featured progressive metal tracks like "Spiritual Jewel" and metal hits like "Vampire". The band performed at major festivals such as Porão do Rock and the Brasília Music Festival. In 2003, The Journey was re-released by Hellion Records and later by Magna Carta in 2007 for worldwide distribution. Khallice's activities paused in 2007 due to Barbosa's involvement with Almah. They released the EP Inside Your Head in 2008, featuring five new songs distributed during a show opening for Dream Theater.
