Disko Degenhardt, born in East Berlin, Germany, is a German rapper known for his distinctive style. After relocating to Düsseldorf, he initially pursued a career as a psychiatric nurse but turned to music due to personal struggles. In 2010, he released "Hurensohn" under the name Disko Degenhardt, which laid the groundwork for his debut album Harmonie Hurensohn. He formed the group Johnny war ein Tänzer and released their self-titled album in 2010. Degenhardt continued with solo albums like Donna Klara (2011) and Harmonie Hurensohn II (2012), as well as EPs such as Destroy and Destroy II. In 2014, he released Harmonie Hurensohn 3, collaborating with the Kamikazes brothers. He signed with Melting Pot Music in late 2015 and released his first commercially available album, Terror 22, in 2016. Degenhardt later changed his stage name to Destroy Degenhardt and then to Vandalismus, releasing the album Freunde lügen nicht through Audiolith in 2019.
