Christina Ratchanée Birch Wongskul, known professionally as Chanée, was born on January 6, 1979, in Denmark to a Danish mother and Thai father. She began her musical journey as a jazz singer and has also performed as a soloist and choir singer. In 2003, she contributed to the soundtrack of the film Anja efter Viktor, singing on "Gone Away". Chanée achieved her breakthrough moment in 2010 when she and Tomas N’Evergreen won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with "In a Moment Like This", representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. The duo placed fourth in the final, and their single reached number 2 on the Danish charts.
