Odes Of Ecstasy, a Greek death metal band, was founded in November 1993 by Dimitris Bikos and Iosif Nikou. Their first release was a promo tape in 1995, followed by Atheistic Emotions in 1996, which featured vocals by Christina Maniati. In 1997, they released the promo single "Words of Insanity" and signed with the End Records. Their first official album, Embossed Dream in Four Acts, was released in 1998, showcasing a blend of death metal and operatic vocals. The band's second album, Deceitful Melody, followed in 2000. After several years of inactivity due to lineup changes and military service commitments, Odes Of Ecstasy reformed in 2004 with a new musical direction and released the full album Odes of Ecstasy in 2007.
