Honeycrack, a British rock band formed in 1992 and fronted by former Wildhearts members Willie Dowling and Chris "CJ" Jagdhar, emerged from the UK music scene with a distinctive sound. The band's lineup included CJ on guitar and vocals, Mark McRae on guitar and vocals, Pete Clarke on bass and vocals, Hugo Degenhardt on drums and vocals, and Dowling on lead vocals and guitar. Honeycrack signed to Epic Records in 1996 and released their debut album Prozaic, which featured the singles "Go Away", "Sitting at Home", and "King of Misery". Both "Sitting at Home" (re-issued) and "King of Misery" entered the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, with "King of Misery" reaching number 32. The album itself reached number 34 on the UK Albums Chart. Following a hiatus, Honeycrack parted ways with Epic Records and released the single "Anyway" on EG records in 1996. Despite positive public response and demoed material for a second album, later known as p.s. The Unreleased Demos, the band disbanded in the late 1990s.
