Ambrozijn was a Belgian folk and traditional music group formed in 1996 at Den Hemel café in Gand by Tom Theuns (guitar), Wouter Vandenabeele (violin), Wim Claeys (accordion), Soetkin Collier, and Jo Van Bouwel (both vocals). They began by adapting traditional folk melodies, but also composed original songs. Their first public performance was on January 16, 1997, at the folk club 't Eynde in Belsele. In 1998, Ambrozijn released their self-titled debut album. Ludo Vandeau joined as a vocalist for several albums but left in 2004, transforming the group into a trio with Tom Theuns on vocals and guest singers. In 2003, they won the public prize Klara for their album Kabonka. Their final album was a live recording titled Ambrozijn: 10, released in 2007. The group disbanded later that year, concluding their career with a concert on December 21, 2007, at Gand.
