Marc Perrone, born on October 8, 1951 in Villejuif, France, is a French accordionist, singer, storyteller, and songwriter. He explored various genres including rock, folk, and blues. His passion for the accordion was ignited during the Fête de l'Humanité in 1972. In 1973, Perrone joined Perlinpinpin Folc, contributing to the revival of Gascon and Occitan music and dance. He released his first solo album La Suite du Quercy in 1978. Throughout his career, Perrone collaborated with notable musicians such as Bernard Lubat, Michel Portal, and Louis Sclavis. He released several albums, including Jacaranda (1995), Voyages (2001), Son Ephémère Passion (2004), Les P'tites Chansons De Marc Perrone (2006), and Babel-Gomme (2017). He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2001.
