Dies Ater was a German black metal band formed in 1994. The original lineup featured Nuntius Tristis, Impurus, Obskur, and Torgrim. Their first recordings included the demo Rabenflug (1996). After signing with Mordgrimm Records, the group released the debut album Reign of Tempests (1999). Their subsequent recordings included the album Through Weird Woods (2000) and the album Chanting Evil (2003). Dies Ater released the EP Out of the Dark (2004), which featured a cover of the song “Out of the Dark”. Their recordings also included the albums Odium’s Spring (2007) and Hunger for Life (2012). Dies Ater disbanded in 2014.
