Hitomi Mieno is a Japanese J-pop and Anison singer, screenwriter, lyricist, and radio personality from Fukuoka Prefecture, born on December 21, 1977. Since her debut in 1994, Mieno has released 17 singles and 11 albums, starting with the single "Hitomi ni Diamond", the ending theme for Haō Taikei Ryū Knight. Her first studio album, KI ・ RA ・ RI PI ・ KA ・ RI, followed in May 1995. Under the alias Deko Akao, Mieno established a career in anime screenwriting, often serving as the series composition lead. Her writing credits include Noragami (2014), Frame Arms Girl (2017), and After the Rain (2018). Additionally, she provided lyrics for artists such as JAM Project and Hiroshi Kamiya. Mieno became a mother to three children and remained active in the entertainment industry as of 2026.
