Stormy Six is an Italian progressive and folk rock band founded in Milan in 1966. They initially gained attention as a pop and psychedelic rock band, opening for The Rolling Stones on their first Italian tour in 1967. They transitioned to left-wing and protest folk rock, releasing the debut album Le idee di oggi per la musica di domani (1969). In 1978, they participated in the first Rock in Opposition (RIO) festival in London as one of the five original RIO bands. Notable albums include L'apprendista (1977) and Macchina Maccheronica (1980). After releasing the album Al Volo (1982), they disbanded in 1983. They reunited for a concert in Milan in 1993, which was recorded and released as the live album Un Concerto (1995).
