Plantec is a French celtic rock ensemble from Brittany established in 2001. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by a fusion of traditional Breton music, rock, and electronic music and for being founded by the brothers Yannick Plantec and Odran Plantec. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for a career that began under the name Frères Plantec performing at fest-noz events. Plantec achieved professional recognition for the addition of the musician Nicolas Le Millier and the musician Christophe Hellec in 2003. Their recording career began with the live debut extended play Demolive (2002) released on the label BNC Productions. Their discography included the debut studio recording Reverzhi (2004) and the eponymous studio recording Plantec (2006), which achieved professional recognition for selling 10,000 copies. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording A-raok (2007) and the studio recording Mekanik (2010). Plantec achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Awen (2012), which was mixed by the producer Roli Mosimann and received positive reviews from the publication Rock & Folk. Their recording career included the studio recording Kontakt (2015) and the studio recording Hironaat (2020). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing at festivals including the Festival interceltique de Lorient and the Festival Yaouank.
