Juan Carlos Cáceres, born on September 4, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was an Argentine tango musician and painter based in France. He studied at the Beaux-Arts and began his musical career in the 1960s, playing piano and trombone. In May 1968, he moved to France and founded several ensembles, including Malon and Gotan. His first album, Solo, was released in 1993 by Celluloïd. Notable albums include Sudacas (1995), Intimo (1997), and Tango Negro (1998). In 2005, he released Murga Argentina under the label Mañana, founded by Eduardo Makaroff. He also authored the book Tango negro: la historia negada, published in 2010. He passed away on April 5, 2015, in Périgny, France.
