Pasquale Mirra, born in 1976 in Salerno, Italy, is a jazz vibraphonist and composer. He studied percussion at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica in Salerno and attended masterclasses at Siena Jazz in 2000. In 2005, Mirra became a member of the funk band Mop Mop and joined the improvised music collective Bassesfere. He released No Leader with the Leibniz Quartet in 2007 and began performing extensively with drummer Hamid Drake, including appearances at festivals such as Jazz à Vienne and the Vision Festival in New York. Mirra contributed to the soundtrack of Woody Allen's To Rome with Love in 2011 and has collaborated with artists including Michel Portal, Fred Frith, Nicole Mitchell, Ernst Reijseger, Rob Mazurek, and Ballaké Sissoko. His solo album Moderatamente Solo was released in 2017, and he has been recognized multiple times as the best Italian vibraphonist by Jazzit magazine.
