Lyzanxia is a French death and thrash metal band from Anjou, formed in 1996 by brothers Franck Potvin and David Potvin. Their early releases included the demos Rip My Skin (1996) and Lullaby (1997). The group's debut full-length album, Eden, was released in 2001 through Trepan Records. Produced by Fredrik Nordström, Eden featured cover artwork by Alain Tréhard and received high ratings from publications such as Hard Rock and Burrn! Their second album, Mindcrimes, was recorded with Nordström and mastered by Goran Finnberg, receiving a release in Japan on October 2, 2002, before its North American release on March 9, 2004, through Reality Entertainment. The album featured the singles “Silence Code” and “Medulla Need”. The group subsequently signed with Listenable Records and released Unsu (2006) and Locust (2010). On June 18, 2011, the band performed at the Hellfest festival.
