96 Bitter Beings, an American metal band from Los Angeles, was formed in 2016 by Deron Miller. The group initially consisted of Miller on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Kenneth Hunter on lead guitar, Shaun Luera on bass, and Tim Luera on drums. Originally known as MechaCKY, the band was renamed 96 Bitter Beings after the CKY song "96 Quite Bitter Beings". In 2018, they released their debut album Camp Pain. The band signed with Nuclear Blast in 2022 and released their second album Synergy Restored later that year. Prior to the album's release, the Luera brothers left the group, leading to lineup changes including Matty Janaitis on bass and Tuomas Vuorio on drums. In May 2023, Hunter also announced his departure from the band. The band released Return to Hellview in June 2024, featuring re-recordings of several CKY songs.
