Skinnyman, born Alexander Graham Holland on November 9, 1974, in Chapeltown, Leeds, England, is an English rapper. Raised in Finsbury Park, London, from age 10, he began his music career in the early 1990s as a member of the Bury Crew before forming the hip-hop group Mud Family, which released the Mud Family EP in 2002 alongside tracks including “Itchy Town” and “Lash Suttin”. In 2004, he released his debut single, “I'll Be Surprised”, and his sole studio album, Council Estate of Mind, on Low Life Records. The album peaked at number 65 on the UK Albums Chart and featured samples from the 1982 television play Made in Britain. In a 2019 interview with The Face, he stated that he had never received royalties from the album.
