Etyl was a French electropop ensemble established in 2001. The group consisted of the musicians Frédéric Parcabe, Raphael Zweifel, Romain Piot, Airelle Besson, Christelle Lassort, Antoine Puaux, and Nicolas Puaux. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by electropop, contemporary jazz, and trip hop and for being personnified by the vocalist Églantine Hermand. Their recording career began with a demo recording (2003) featuring six tracks that received support from the journalist Bernard Lenoir on the radio program France Inter. Etyl achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording La Tortue (2005) which featured acoustic instruments and minimal electronic production. Their discography included the single "J'aime pas Noël" (2007) and the studio recording Les souris (2008). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing as the opening act for the musician Zazie on a tour in October 2007. The group became inactive in 2010.
