Digawolf is a Canadian alternative music group from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The band's core member, Diga, began his career in music as part of Northern Band and released two solo albums before forming Digawolf. Combining "Diga," the Tłı̨chǫ Yatıì word for wolf, with its English translation, he chose the name to avoid explaining its meaning repeatedly. The band's debut album, Distant Morning Star, was released in 2009 and received a Juno Award nomination for Indigenous Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2010. Digawolf continued with albums such as Great Northern Man (2015) and Yellowstone (2019), which also earned a Juno Award nomination in 2020. The band's notable songs include "High Arctic" (2020). Supporting members have included bassist TJ Buggins, drummer David Dowe, bassist Nik Heyman, and drummer Peter Dombernowsky.
