Scary Thieves

Scary Thieves were an English new wave band formed in 1983, consisting of Phil Manikiza on vocals and Chris Youdell on keyboards. The group was completed by Clive Parker on drums and Ralph St. Rose on guitar. After signing with Parlophone Records in 1984, they released their debut single "Tell Me Girl" (1984), followed by "Dying in Vain" (1985) and "The Waiting Game" (1985). Their music was characterized by electronic drums and layers of analogue keyboards. Despite touring with Nik Kershaw and building a teenybop following, internal conflicts led to Parker's dismissal and their eventual split. Their debut album Halloween remained unreleased until 2015 when it was issued under Furry Records, featuring remastered tracks from the original tapes.
