She began studying piano at age five and later explored flute, theory, and composition. Dunietz's early career included performances with various ensembles and collaborations with artists like Chiwoniso Maraire. In 2005, she enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where she experimented with electronics and composed pieces like "Put It In My Mouth." Dunietz has collaborated extensively with musicians such as Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou, Roscoe Mitchell, and John Tilbury. Her notable works include Free the Dolphin (2021) and Thank You Tree (2023). She has performed at venues like Centre Pompidou Paris and Athens Onassis Center, and her compositions have been featured in international festivals. Dunietz contributed significantly to the jazz and experimental music scenes.
