After Crying is a Hungarian progressive rock ensemble from Budapest formed in 1986. The group was founded by Csaba Vedres, Péter Pejtsik, and Gábor Egervári and achieved professional recognition for blending contemporary classical music with symphonic rock. Their recording career began with the demo recording Opus 1 (1989), followed by the debut studio recording Overground Music (1990). They released the studio recording Megalázottak és megszomorítottak (1992), which derived inspiration from a novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Following the departure of Vedres in 1994, the group released the studio recording De Profundis (1996). Their discography includes the studio recordings Föld és ég (1994), After Crying 6 (1997), and Creatura (2011).
