Max De Aloe, born on March 18, 1968, in Busto Arsizio, Italy, is an Italian harmonica player and composer. He began playing classical piano at age 13 before transitioning to the chromatic harmonica under the tutelage of Willi Burger. In 1993, De Aloe completed a degree in sociology from the University of Milan, after which he played keyboards with some local bands. He has collaborated with notable musicians such as Adam Nussbaum, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Paul Wertico. Notable releases include La danza di Matisse (1999), Apnea (2009), and Mutamenti (2013). De Aloe has performed at festivals across Europe, South Africa, Brazil, and China. He has been recognized with multiple Jazz It Awards from Jazzit magazine and won the Orpheus Award in 2015 for Borderline. Additionally, he established his own music school, Centro Espressione Musicale.
