Brave Belt was a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The group consisted of Randy Bachman on guitar and vocals, Chad Allan on vocals and keyboards, and Robbie Bachman on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1971 under Reprise Records. The album featured the single "Crazy Arms, Crazy Eyes", which reached number 35 on the Canadian Top 40 chart. In 1972, C.F. "Fred" Turner became the lead vocalist for their second album Brave Belt II. After being dropped by Reprise Records, the Brave Belt II lineup, including C.F.Turner, Tim, and Robbie Bachman, recorded a demo intended for the Brave Belt III album. Under new management, the group adopted the name Bachman-Turner Overdrive instead.
