Touching

Michael Petkau Falk, better known as Touching, born in 1979 in Winnipeg, Canada, is a singer‑songwriter and producer who adopted the stage name Touching in 2020. He began his career in the late 2000s, serving as artistic director for the West End Cultural Centre and later the Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, while performing with the band Les Jupes and releasing the album Some Kind of Family in 2015. In that same year, he received a nomination for the Western Canadian Music Award. After adopting the pseudonym, he released the EPs Isolation Blues and Isolation Blues (Vol. 2) in 2020, followed by the full‑length album Littleworlds in 2021, which featured singles such as "Oh General" and "The Darkness".
