Midhaven is an Indian metal band from Mumbai, formed in 2011 by Karan Kaul, Abhishek Sawant, Shreyas Rane, and Aviraj Kumar. They initially went by the name Temple Smoke before changing it to Midhaven, derived from the astronomical term 'Midheaven'. Their first release was the EP Tales From The Tide (2013), which garnered critical acclaim for its progressive metal influences. They signed with Universal Music India in 2013 and released their album Spellbound in 2014. The album featured notable tracks such as "Lunar Blessing" and "Seeking The Divine", and received mixed reviews, including a 3.5 out of 5 rating from Rolling Stone. Their lineup underwent changes, with Viraj Saxena replacing Kumar on drums in 2014. Their discography also includes the album Of The Lotus & The Thunderbolt (2021).
