Cultus Sanguine was an Italian black metal band formed in 1993. The group initially started as a duo and later expanded to include a drummer. In 1995, they released their first EP, Cultus Sanguine. Following this release, keyboardist Rex Nebulah joined the lineup. Cultus Sanguine signed with Candlelight Records in 1998 for their debut album, Shadows' Blood, which marked a significant milestone in their career. After the departure of guitarist/bassist Aqua Regis and drummer Custos Arcanorum, Aurian and Nox Perpetua joined the band. They released two more albums, The Sum of All Fears (1999) and War Vol. III (2000), both under Season of Mist. The group disbanded in 2001.
