Naaz Mohammed is a Dutch-Kurdish singer and songwriter born on June 8, 1998, in Gorinchem. She reached wider visibility in 2014 as a contestant on the television program Holland's Got Talent. Her recording career began with the debut single "Sadboy" (2016) followed by the singles "Words" (2017), "Can't" (2017), and "Up to Something" (2017). Naaz released the debut extended play Bits of Naaz (2018), which reached number 81 on the Dutch charts and received two Edison Awards. She subsequently released the extended play The Beautiful Struggle (2019) and the studio recording Never Have I Ever (2023). The latter work featured the singles "Azadi" and "Daughter". Naaz has performed on tours in Europe with the musicians Hayley Kiyoko and Melanie Martinez. In 2020, she reached professional recognition when she received two honors at the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards.
