Abby Travis, born November 10, 1969 in West Hartford, Connecticut, is an American singer and bassist. She began her music career in 1986 as the bassist for the Los Angeles band The Lovedolls, releasing their album Love One Another in 1989. Travis's first solo album, The Abby Travis Foundation, was released in 1997 under You Seem Like a Nice, Well Adjusted Person Records. She followed this with Cutthroat Standards & Black Pop (2000), Glitter Mouth (2006), and IV (2012). Throughout her career, Travis has collaborated extensively as a bassist and backup vocalist with various artists including The Go-Go's, The Eagles of Death Metal, Beck, Elastica, KMFDM, and The Bangles. She also performed at the 2017 Los Angeles Women’s March alongside notable musicians such as U2's The Edge, Juliette Lewis, and Brad Wilke from Rage Against the Machine.
